Banner Lane builds Water Tower for Local Community in The Gambia

Through international connections in The Gambia, Banner Lane has paid for the procurement, manufacturing and erection of a water tower with accompanying bore hole.

The bore hole was drilled to 150metres and produces clean water that can be used safely for cooking and washing. The water tank holds up to 2000 litres.

Here in the UK we take for granted running water in our homes and commercial premises. It’s mind-blowing that nearly 2 billion people (20% of the global population) still don’t have access to clean water.

At a cost of £1,500 this water tower has lifted an every-day burden that sits on the shoulders of local families struggling with financial hardship.

Local man, Lamin, gave us this comment: “We are very thankful for this installation. It will save our local community time and money and is generous and beneficial to us. This has been a difficult time. Thank you to Stephen and his company Banner Lane.”
