Germany Delivers 30 Gereon RCS Robots to Ukraine

Germany has delivered 30 Gereon RCS robots from ARX Robotics to Ukraine as part of its latest military aid package. The delivery was financed through Germany’s capacity-building initiative.

Designed for deployment via standard vehicles, the compact Gereon RCS can carry up to 500 kg, reach speeds of 30 km/h, and operate within a 40 km range. Its modular design allows easy integration of additional equipment, including sensors, drones, and communication systems.

The robots have proven effective in NATO’s Grand Eagle II exercise and tests at Germany’s Army Combat Training Centre, supporting missions such as autonomous logistics, surveillance, and casualty evacuation.

ARX Robotics recently opened a subsidiary in Ukraine to further develop the Gereon based on frontline feedback. This delivery strengthens Ukraine’s defence capabilities while fostering innovation beneficial to NATO forces.
