Germany, Latvia, and Norway Sign Deal for DM 22 Anti-Tank Mines
Germany, Latvia, and Norway have signed a joint procurement agreement for the DM 22 anti-tank mine to strengthen NATO interoperability and defence capabilities. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in early 2027.
German Vice Admiral Carsten Stawitzki praised the agreement as a strong signal of European cooperation, noting that other nations may join later. Germany has already contracted TDW, a subsidiary of MBDA Germany, to deliver 2,600 mines under a framework that allows for up to 10,000 units. TDW is establishing a new production line to meet rising demand.
The DM 22 is a 10-kilogram mine equipped with a tandem-shaped charge, effective against modern tanks from 40 to 60 meters away. Triggered by a fibre optic cable rather than direct contact, it allows wider area denial and can be easily retrieved and redeployed if unused.

HHLA Sky to Launch Medical Drone Flights in Germany
Starting in May, HHLA Sky, Morpheus Logistik, and Eurofins GeLaMed will launch a new medical drone logistics service in Germany. Drones operated by Morpheus Logistik, using HHLA Sky’s Integrated Control Centre (ICC), will transport medical samples between hospitals and Eurofins GeLaMed’s lab in Iserlohn.
The flights, monitored automatically through the ICC, aim to improve the speed and reliability of critical medical transport. Expansion plans include new routes connecting Iserlohn and Gelsenkirchen.
The HHLA Sky X25 drones, featuring redundant safety systems, are supported by Morpheus Logistik’s SAIL III operating approval and meet stringent cybersecurity standards certified by TÜV NORD.
