HENSOLDT to open new radar factory near Ulm

HENSOLDT will lease and convert an off-site industrial hall near Ulm, investing a mid–double-digit million euros to boost serial production of air- and counter-drone radars.

From 2027, the site is slated to output 1,000 radars/year, relieving space constraints at the Ulm campus (3,000 staff).

CFO Christian Ladurner said the expansion is essential to meet urgent Bundeswehr demand while keeping R&D and core production anchored in Ulm.
